Microblading: How to care for your skin after the treatment

The face mirrors the soul, so the eyebrows have great significance for your face expressiveness and also serve as a frame for your eyes. Who doesn’t want to have beautiful eyes and fabulous look? You have if your eyebrows are bushy and sharp contoured. Sometimes over the years, due to hereditary background or excessive hair removal your eyebrows may thin out. Bushy eyebrows become a trend, and you can get it with the help of microblading.

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent tattooing to faking fuller eyebrows that look totally natural. This method comes from traditional Japanese tattooing that involves drawing of eyebrows hair by hair with a steel pen, that looks like a small cutter, which deposits inorganic mineral based pigment into your skin.

Please contact an eyebrow design professional who would recommend the best method that would suit your face. Still your eyebrows regardless any trends should fit your face in order to serve its purpose: highlight the look and make your face look harmonious. That is why the thickness and shape of the eyebrows are very individual, so it is better not to fake another type of eyebrow just because we like them.

The microblading is not a permanent tattoo, it lasts up to one year. That is why measuring and sketching is absolutely needed before the procedure to obtain better result. Also, it very important to choose the most suitable pigment colour, taking into account the natural colour of your hair, skin and eyes.

Eyebrow microblading and eyebrow micropigmentation are two different methods of semi-permanent and permanent eyebrows make-up. The main differences are the following:

Micropigmentation. It made up with a tool called pencil for dermatographs, with a pointed needle to draw hairs, and a needle with three to five points to hatch or to fill the gaps. They use hypoallergenic oil-based pigments which consist of very fine particles. These pigments are inserted into skin.

This procedure is applicable for other parts of body, e.g. eyes, brows, lips, capillaries, etc. It has a longer effect, from one year up to five years, and may even be permanent, which always depends on the type of skin, age and care. Sometimes you will need correction after 12-18 months.

Microblading is carried out with a tiny metal pencil, called tabori. It provides microcuts in the skin, where the pigments are introduced. This pen is three times thinner than the needles used for tattooing and micropigmentation. Eyebrows look totally natural because during the procedure of microblading they are created hair by hair. Pigments are introduced in the basal layer of the epidermis, so the effect lasts not longer than one year or one and a half years. This is the newest method.

It is very important to care properly for about 10 days after microblading procedure to obtain better result:

  • Wash the treated zone with soap and water.
  • Moisturize the treated zone as often as you can. Use the special creme, suitable for such procedures.
  • Avoid exercises for at least two days in order not to deteriorate the pigment by sweat.
  • Even if you have a small crust, not a peel them off and do not scratch the pigmented section, as it may damage the consolidation of pigment.
  • Avoid exposures to sunlight or tanning rooms.
  • Do not bathe in pools or sea for at least one or two weeks.
  • Do not touch your eyebrows with dirty hands. This way you can avoid contamination.
  • Do not use make-up during the healing process.

As you can see the precautions are the same as for any type of tattoos.

Follow these recommendations for 10 days and enjoy your fabulous look.
